Performance Classes

Since established in 2004, def SOL Productions has provided quality and professional training to hundreds of dancers through our performance and competitive dance programs.  From beginner to pre-professional, we offer classes from ages 5 to adult and believe street dance is truly for everyone! Our faculty is represented by SK’s top street dancers and choreographers who have trained extensively with the originators/creators in each Street Style to bring you the most authentic experience possible.

Registration is now open for Semester 1 Performance Classes (September-December 2019)! View the FALL CLASS SCHEDULE or scroll down to find the program that suits your training goals. We have also added an ‘introductory level’ performance program as part of our Recreational classes

All Performance Groups require an In-Person Registration. Returning dancers can email in advance to confirm their best program options. New dancers may be asked to complete an assessment before completing their registration to ensure the best class placement for the semester. All competitive teams and crews require an audition in August/Sept!

PERFORMANCE GROUPS (non-competitive): available to ages 5yrs to adult; Beginner to Advanced levels. Full season or single semester commitment options available (Semester 1: Sept-Dec 2018; Semester 2: Jan-May 2019). Learn and perform a fun and original choreography each semester sampling a mix of Hip Hop and other street styles.

COMPETITIVE TEAMS & CREWS: available to ages 8yrs to adult; Experienced Beginner to Advanced levels (minimum 2-3years experience). Full season commitment required (Sept 2018-May 2019). Attend 2-3 competitive events seasonally including Artists Emerge national street dance competition in Edmonton. In addition to our two seasonal showcases (Sep & Dec), our performance crews and company dancers are invited to represent def SOL at various local events. Note: Some crews are NOT competitive- instead they will focus on gaining experience through additional performance opportunities at local events and festivals (approx. 3-4 extra events per season).
