The def SOL Crew is Saskatchewan’s first professional Hip Hop crew dedicated to the mastery and performance of various street, funk, video and freestyle dance forms.

Created in 2004 by def SOL’s artistic director Amanda ‘M-Rae’ Murray, the def SOL Crew has performed at numerous high profile and community events around the province. Representing the '306' for over 6 years, the def SOL Crew has taken Hip Hop to a whole new level in Saskatchewan and recently earned recognition across Western Canada following their dynamic performances at Artists Emerge Competitions in Edmonton AB.

With a unique style and stage presence, the Crew always guarantees a great response from audiences of all-ages and backgrounds. From early morning business and youth conferences to late night Hip Hop shows,
the def SOL Crew is known for getting the crowd pumped!

09 / 10 Pricing Guidelines:

We are not an "arts-funded" dance company.
We compensate our Crew a minimum of $25 / professional performer / event. (Crew = 8 performers)
The Crew and the Artistic Director volunteer their time to prepare for your event.

5 - 10 minutes pre-choreographed mix (4-8 performers) - starting at $200 + GST
10 - 20 min medley of pre-choreographed dance (10-20 performers) - starting at $400 + GST

Professional and affordable Stagettes and private dance parties with def SOL!
We offer a variety of themed private group parties and lessons!
Call today and we can make yours most memorable!

All prices subject to travel, props, AV equipment etc.

THE STAGETTE:

Base rate:
$150 plus GST for groups of up to 20 ladies.
This package includes 1 hour of quality dance instruction where participants learn to "shake their cake" with a series of Sexy Latin, Diva or Hard Hittin' Hip Hop moves.

Hosted by def SOL instructors, you will experience some intense fun at one of your favourite clubs.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES:

Base rate of $150.00 for up to 10 kids
We'll keep the kids rollin' with private dance lessons and games perfect for their age group for 1.5 hours. We bring the sound equipment and edited music. An outdoor dance surface and breakdance mats are available for an extra cost.

SCHOOL GYM / ART CLASSES: Base rate of $75 for 1st hour, $50 per each consecutive same day
def SOL is the "go-to" group for supa fly quality school workshops. Our past clients include BJM, Aden Bowen, Mount Royal, St. Mary's Elementary....the list is long! Our professional and experienced team of instructors will facilitate a variety of styles for all age groups and levels. Pricing includes all audio equipment required to deliver at top notch class!
WEEKEND INTENSIVES: Base rate of $75 for 1st hour of instruction + travel & accommodations
Create an affordable hip hop workshop perfect for your dance students! We have traveled across SK and AB facilitating technique and choreography in today's hottest urban styles and yesterday's "gotta have it" fundamentals! Our happy clients include Shellbrook School of Dance, Youth Ballet of Saskatchewan in Regina, Hanson School of Dance in Medicine Hat Jacquie's in Humboldt . . .the list is long!

Adjudication

With the still strong and growing popularity of hip hop dance, the need for hip hop adjudicators is required to give your competitors the scoring and correct assessment of their techniques. Give us a holla, we would love to come out to your competition. Rates based on travel time, accommodations and adjudications required.

Note: we do no assesses any other dance styles (tap, jazz, ballet), however we would be happy to give an overall performance score based on presentation and enjoyment.

Choreography & Consulting

We pride ourselves on understanding and living the hip hop culture, with extensive time spent researching and developing, to ensure you are getting a correct, authentic and supa fly product. We have choreographed numbers for large corporate events, commercial promotions, and studio competitions as well as many wedding dances!
